Abstract
1,048,166. Pneumatic dampers. MEKANPRODUKTER, HANS HOLM A.B. May 14, 1965 [Oct. 1, 1964], No. 20575/65. Heading F2S. [Also in Division F1] Cushioning of a compressed air-operated piston 33, Fig. 2 (not shown), as a projection 42 thereof sealingly engages a cavity 35 in the cylinder head 32 is effected by air thus trapped between the piston and the inner side 40 of the cylinder head 32 and which air is relieved through a channel 39 in the head 32 leading to the undersideof a tubular piston valve 13, Fig. 1 (not shown), which at a predetermined pressure build-up is lifted from its annular seat 22 against a spring 14 within a closed chamber 8 and exhausted to cavity 35 and thence through outlet 38 which is normally restricted whereby the pressure rise developed in cavity 35 during movement of the piston thereto is transmitted through the bore 15 of the tubular piston valve 13 and past non- return valve 17 to the valve chamber 8 to assist the spring 14.
