Abstract
1,047,577. Aerials. ROHDE & SCHWARZ. June 22, 1965 [Aug. 29, 1964], No. 26262/65. Heading H4A. De-coupling between spaced-apart aerials mounted on a common mast is provided by means of electro-magnetic wave absorbing material which is applied between the aerials. As described, two squirrel-cage type aerials A1, A2, the Figure (not shown), are mounted at a discrete interval apart on a mast M which is coated between them with an appropriate high-frequency absorbent material such as a lacquer or paint containing conductive particles which may be of zinc or carbon or a ferrite. One or more hollow cylinders Z made, for example, from a mixture of a synthetic resin and a ferrite, may be fitted on the mast between the aerials, as may be shielding plates B1, B2, and the latter may also be coated with absorbing material similar to that applied to the mast.
