Abstract
1,047,411. Silicon rectifiers; circuit assemblies. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORPORATION. Feb. 3, 1965 [Feb. 27, 1964], No. 4694/65. Headings H1K and H1R. [Also in Division H2] Series connected rectifying elements 70 in a high voltage rectifier circuit are shunted by capacitors and resistors and encapsulated in a fully cured epoxy resin through which the external connecting leads 110, 130 pass. The resin is coarsely filled with thermally conductive particles. The assembly is enclosed in a surrounding outer case of cured, thermally conductive resin having apertures through which the leads pass. The Specification lists suitable resins and fillers and discusses the cooling of the assembly.
