Abstract
104,715. Binks, C. March 11, 1916. Vaporizers, external.- The exhaust pipe 2, which is shown in transverse section, has branches 6 at intervals leading from the cylinders and longitudinal ribs 11 on its outer surface. It is enclosed in a casing 1. Combustible mixture enters the casing by a pipe 7 and passes over the ribs 11 on its way to the cylinder admission passages. The lid of the casing has on one side ribs 13: when it is put on with these ribs inside the mixture is directed in a sinuous course over the ribs 11 on the exhaust pipe. In a modification the exhaust passage 2 may occupy the whole height and length of the casing, and pipes may traverse it at intervals to convey the mixture to the cylinders.
