Abstract
1,046,624. Reactors. INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. March 20, 1964 [May 23, 1963], No. 20670/63. Heading G6C. In a nuclear reactor concrete pressure vessel the inner surface of the vessel wall is provided with a space for an instrument, e.g. an ionisation chamber. Two parallel ducts lead to the space, one of which is straight and leads directly from the vessel outer surface to the space and which contains a shield plug and a positioning rod for the instrument, while the second duct leads into the first at a point near the space and through which the instrument is moved into the space.
