Turning-gear.-In a modification of the invention described in Specification 4054/15, the electro-magnetic switch for opening the armature of the motor switch k<1> is dispensed with, the armature being opened by a spring only. To enable the armature g of the switch h to close should the parts of the clutch f, f<1> not be in an engaging position, the sliding part of the clutch works against a spring f<3>. To prevent the switch k<1> from opening should the voltage fall when the motor takes up the load, it may be wound with a few turns of low-resistance wire in series with the main circuit.
