In a curtain drawing device having a hollow curtain rail 1 with supporting elements 14 in a channel 2 and auxiliary channels 3 having a resilient pliable drawing element 5 such as a cord movable in an endless track under the influence of a driving wheel of an electrically operated system the two ends of the cord are joined by coupling members 7 interconnected by a rod 9 which allows relative displacement of the members 7 due to longitudinal stretching of the cord.
