Abstract

1,044,051. Electrically-heated towel rails. A. BIKKER. Jan. 13, 1965 [Jan. 14, 1964], No. 1534/64. Heading H5H. An electrically heated towel rail comprises a tubular sheath of plastics material containing a heating element of tape woven from glass fibre and resistance wire. Fig. 1 shows a construction in which the ends of U-shaped polypropylene tubes 10 are fusion welded to T-pieces of similar material whose third limb is attached to mounting plates 16. One such limb contains a terminal block, Fig. 2 (not shown), connecting the heater element to the mains supply.
