Abstract

1,043,193. Gas scrubbers. AMBUCO Ltd. July 2, 1963 [April 4, 1962], No. 12902/62. Heading B1R. Air to be scrubbed is drawn by a fan 9<SP>1</SP> through an inlet 1 into a chamber 2 wherein are disposed a set of venluri tubes 3 mounted in a horizontal plate and each having a nozzle 4 for spraying the air passing therethrough with liquid, the scrubbed air then passing through a chamber containing moisture eliminators 13 and flanged ports 16 to a chamber containing the fan 9 and an outlet 11. The lower portion of the chamber 2 may have a perforated grid 6 which allows washing liquid to collect in the base of the chamber and from which it can be recirculated.
