Abstract
1,042,938. Conveying by water. N. E. ANDERSSON. Aug. 13, 1963 [Aug. 17, 1962; April 19, 1903], No. 31891/63. Heading B8A. [Also in Division A1] Material from a stable is fed to a container by means of gutters and a pump is provided so that the mixture in the container is pumped along the gutters and back to the container and, if desired, to a storage or loading site for spreading. The pump 11 is provided with a screw 23 mounted on a shaft 24 driven by a motor outside the pump. A cutting device is provided for comminuting the material and comprises spring- urged knives 26 which rotate with the shaft 24 and co-operate with fixed blades 28. To prevent the manure mixture adjacent the inlet of the pump rotating by the action of the screw of the pump, three fixed vanes 43 are provided and form a support for the pump at the bottom of the container.
