Abstract

1,042,716. Projection screens, composite photographs. ANDREW SMITH HARKNESS Ltd. June 24, 1965 [June 24, 1964], No. 26183/64. Headings G2C and G2J. In producing composite photographs, an image of a slide is projected by means of a projector 4 and a semi reflecting mirror 3 on to an adjustable curved reflex reflecting screen 1, which image is viewed by a camera 2 having its lens at the centre of curvature of the screen. The camera, mirror and projector are mounted on a support so that the camera can be pivoted about the centre of curvature. The screen is mounted by elastic bindings on a flexible rod 11 (Fig. 3, not shown) carried by panels 6 formed from metal tubes, adjacent panels being adjustably hinged together. Alteration of the spacings of the panel varies the curvature of the rod 11 and hence of the screen 1. Means are provided to effect a corresponding alteration in the position of the camera, mirror and projector.
