Abstract

1,042,115. Lamp enclosures. HONDA GIJUTSA KENKYUSHO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. March 10, 1965 [March 14, 1964], No. 10267/65. Heading F4R. A lamp especially for vehicles comprises a transparent front plate 3 removably secured to a back plate 1 with interposed resilient sealing means, e.g. a rubber ring 6, and a light source 2 enclosed between the plates, the space between the plates being connected by a pipe 5 to a tightly sealed air chamber 4, part at least of which is flexible to allow for expansion of the air in the lamp when the light source is in operation. The source 2 may be enclosed in a separate sealed casing inside the outer casing. Both casings may be connected to the air chamber. The chamber 4 may be in the form of a flexible bag or may be a rigid casing with a flexible internal partition, the space on one side of the partition being connected to the lamp and the opposite side being open to the atmosphere.
