1,038,821. Plugboards; two-part couplings. G. GLASEL. Aug. 9, 1963 [Jan. 17, 1963], No. 31597/63. Heading H2E. A multiway terminal strip has contact elements 1 in the form of flat blades capable of receiving push-on connector sleeves, and the elements, 1, are secured in slots in a moulded insulating rail 2 by engagement of recesses 6, Fig. 5 (not shown) in the flat blades with projections 7 on the floor of the slot. There may also be spring tongues 5 to retain each blade against upward movement. A contact identification plate 9, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown) may be screwed, riveted or clipped on to the rail, and may serve instead of the tongues 5 to retain the blades. Numbers may be impressed directly upon the moulding for contact identification.
