With a view to producing eggs and poultry meat in which the fat contains approximately equal amounts of polyunsaturated and saturated fatty acids, poultry feed is supplemented with sunflower seed oil, e.g. 7-10%, and is free from any source of saturated fatty acids other than that present in the sunflower seed oil. 0.0005-0.02% of vitamin B6, as pyridoxine, pyridoxal or pyridoxamine, may also be incorporated.
