Abstract
1,036,686. Vibrators. E. DAMOND S.A. March 26, 1965 [March 27, 1964], No. 12903/65. Heading F2X. A flame-proof rotary vibrator, especially for use in coal mines, is constituted by an electric motor mounted in a casing 1 with eccentric weights 5, 6 mounted outside the casing, bearings 7, 8 and members 9, 10 forming a diametral clearance of less than 0À5 millimetres with the motor shaft being provided between the motor and the weights. The members 9, 10 thus form wire-drawing apertures with the motor shaft and are secured by bolts 13 with pentagonal heads to plates 12. The eccentric weights are enclosed by cores 14, 15, and together with the parts 9, 10 and 12, may be of bronze.
