Abstract

1,036,355. Mounting semi-conductor devices. INDUSTRIAL INSTRUMENTS Ltd. June 18, 1965 [July 6, 1964], No. 27793/64. Heading H1K. An electrical component such as a transistor is mounted without intervening insulation on a metal heat sink which is mounted on but insulated from a chassis by the use of at least one insulating spacer consisting of a body of a plastics material such as nylon in which there is a slot, to receive a flange on the heat sink, and also a through hole, isolated from the slot by a wall of plastics material, to enable the spacer to be connected to the chassis.
