Abstract

A mechanically oscillated "laying funnel", which deposits fibre tow in loops upon the upper surface of an endless conveyer belt thereunder, is made of, or is internally lined with (at least over that part brushed by the moving tow) with a polyhaloethylene e.g. polytetrafluoroethylene or polytrifluoromonochlorethylene.
