Abstract

A spinnable blend of hydrophobic synthetic e.g. vinylic and acrylic, polyamide, polyacetal, polyester, polypropylene, polyurethane, fibres comprises 55-90% of fibres incorporating 0.25-2.0% by weight of a durable anti-static agent and a compensatory 10.45% of fibres incorporating 0.25-1.0% of a friction increasing agent (preferably a non-durable or removable anti-static agent). The agents may be applied at any stage of fibre processing prior to blending.
