Abstract

1,034,726. Toothbrushes. S. R. ROSENTHAL. June 30, 1964, No. 26942/64. Heading A4K. Soft, flexible gum massaging fingers 23 are provided, in brushes 21, with inclined resiliently interconnected handles 13, so that, on squeezing the handles together, the brushes and fingers are brought into engagement with the opposite sides of the teeth and gums simultaneously. The handles 13 and the curved section 15 may be of a single piece of plastic, or the latter may be formed separately of flexible tubing. Alternatively, a spring-loaded pivoted connection may be provided. In other forms, tufts 19 are replaced by an interchangeable rotatable snap-on brush head (Figs. 6 and 7, not shown) or by a tufted ball-shaped brush head rotatably mounted in a socket (Figs. 8 to 10, not shown).
