Abstract

1,034,149. Hydraulic accummulation. J. MERCIER. May 21, 1965 [June 1, 1964], No. 21681/65. Addition to 1,002,736. Heading F1P. [Also in Division F2] In an hydraulic accumulator as claimed in parent Specification and comprising a container 11 Fig. 1 (not shown) having a mouth, a cover 17 having a spigot 19 extending thereinto and a flexible separator 22 having a mouth secured between the cover 17 and the container 11 and formed with two spaced annular heads 27, 28 adjacent its mouth and located in grooves 34, 35 respectively in the spigot 19 and wherein the spacing between the grooves 34, 35 is such that the region between the two heads is substantially stress-free, the groove 35 remote from the container mouth forms a hooking surface for head 28 and the spacing between the spigot 19 and the adjacent surface of the container 11 compared with the lateral thickness of the heads is such as to place both heads under lateral compression; head 27 serving to seal and head 28 to retain. The chamber 23 between the container and the separator 22 is filled with oil and compressed air is admitted through an aperture 18 in the cover 17.
