Abstract

1,033,563. Bushing insulators. ASSOCI. ATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 27, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 36352/61. Heading H2C. In a hollow insulator bushing concentric, stress-grading metal cylinders each flanged at one end are disposed concentrically about a central conductor. The bushing is secured to the top of a metal tank which may house a transformer. Each metal cylinder is fixed by its endflange to a separate joint between sections of the hollow insulator, the space between the cylinders containing the oil or insulating gas which fills the hollow insulator and metal tank.
