Abstract

A herbicidal composition comprises hexafluoroarsenic acid or a hexafluoroarsenate salt and a solid or liquid carrier. The composition may additionally contain a wetting agent. The hexafluoroarsenate may be of the formula M(AsF6)n where M is hydrogen, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, or an ammonium or substituted ammonium radical, and n is the valency of M.
