Abstract

1,031,812. Copy-holders. L. SCOTT-WATSON. Nov. 6, 1962 [Nov. 6, 1961], No. 39707/61. Heading B6W. A typist's copy-holder has a base member 1 carrying a cranked upstanding support comprising a lower vertical portion 2 and an inclined upper portion 3. A downwardly extending arm 4, fixedly secured or pivoted to allow up and down movement, carries a horizontal workholder 6. A line-by-line marker for the work comprises a frame 7 resting in the work-holder. A bar 10 having magnets 12 is slidable up and down the frame 7 to indicate lines on the work. If desired, a longer bar 13 can be used with larger sized paper P, Fig. 4 (not shown). Should the work be thick, e.g. a book N, Fig. 5 (not shown), the frame 7 is reversed front to back, such that feet 9, Fig. 1, act as distance pieces and the latch 5 turned to support the crossmember 8.
