Abstract

The invention of the parent Specification is modified in that the high voltage applied to the conveyer belt to form an electric field between the conveyer belt and the conducting earthed adhesive layer of the moving-support surface, to effect transfer of the floccules to the adhesive, is applied by at least two conducting rollers at least one of which is connected to a voltage of different value to the other conducting roller or rollers. Rollers conducting voltage of the same value may be assembled in groups and connected in groups to a high-voltage supply. In the entry zone for the coating fibres into the coating field, the high voltage for one or more rollers is preferably greater than for the others and in the discharge zone the high voltage for one or more rollers is preferably lower than the others. Preferably earthed guide rollers for the conveyer belt and between which the rollers carrying the high voltage are disposed are arranged vertically beneath earthed guide rollers for the support in order to limit the fibre-coating field and such that the conveyer belt and the support surface run parallel therein.
