Abstract

1,031,518. Blow-moulding hollow articles. ETABLISSEMENTS BONATEX. Dec. 10, 1962 [Dec. 8, 1961], No. 46489/62. Heading B5A. In blow-moulding a hollow article from a hot tubular blank 2 extruded into a mould, a printed sheet is inserted between the mould wall and the blank and is bonded with the wall of the hollow article formed. Each mould half 3<SP>1</SP>, 3<SP>11</SP> carries a supply roll carrying a band 6, printed on successive sections, each sufficient for one article, and a holder 7 for clamping the free end of band 6. The band 6 may be of thermoplastic material or treated to adhere to the blank. Separate printed sheets may be employed instead of a continuous band. In another embodiment only one mould half carries a band and holder. The blank may be inflated by the material which is to fill the finished container. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 943,878.
