[Also in Division B5] Adjacent cells of a container integrally moulded of pulp material for eggs, light bulbs &c., are separated by upwardly converging cell walls 7 and 9, Fig. 1, which are joined together in the upper regions of at least one end of each pair of walls by an integrally moulded gusset means 41 (Fig. 3, not shown) which is of a vertical thickness greater than the thickness of the container walls to allow stacked containers to be easily separable. In the first embodiment, the container has a plurality of spaced posts 11, 13, 15, 17, the full posts 15 and 17 being of a reduced height to facilitate article removal, posts 17 also being designed to permit transverse division of the container along score line 18. The cell walls 7 have tabular extensions 19 which prevent articles in adjacent cells from contacting each other, and the walls 7 and 9 are formed with an unbridged central portion. When in stacked relation the unbridged portion of the wall members 7 and 9 permits entry of a tabular extension 19 of the container below (Fig. 4, not shown). In an alternative embodiment, no unbridged portion exists between the convergingwalls. The spaced posts need not necessarily be employed. The moulded container is formed by depositing pulp fibre from an aqueous slurry over screening 27 (Fig. 10) of a die 21 under suction, and the unbridged central portion of the walls 7 and 9 is formed by blanking off screening 27 with a solid member 29. The gusset means 41 may be formed due to the natural agglomeration in interfelted fashion across a relatively narrow gap.
