Abstract

1,031,004. Hose end fittings. H. OETIKER. March 8, 1965 [March 14, 1964], No. 9694/65. Heading F2G. A hose end fitting comprises a sleeve encircling the hose end and a nipple with a band, tape or the like wound tightly around the hose end between the hose end and the sleeve. The band, tape or the like is fed between the hose end and the sleeve through a slot or aperture in the sleeve whereby rotation of the sleeve will cause the band, tape or the like to be fed between the hose end and the sleeve and wound tightly on to the hose end. The tape, band or the like consists of a compressible and foldable material made from high tensile strength synthetic fibres, e.g. nylon.
