Abstract

1,030,364. Stud and socket fastenings. DYNASAFE EQUIPMENT Ltd. April 14, 1965 [April 14, 1964], No. 15500/64. Heading E2B. Attachment means for a safety belt comprises a bolt 1 having a non-circular head 5 and a threaded shank for screwing into a threaded bore in an anchorage point of a vehicle, locking means for locking the bolt in rotational and axial adjustment in the bore, a plate 6 adapted to be secured to a safety belt and having a non-circular aperture 7 for engagement over the head 5 of the bolt in one angular position of the plate relative to the bolt, the plate being rotatable upon the bolt between this position and another in which the head prevents removal of the plate, and means for opposing rotational movement of the plate about the bolt. The locking means may be a nut 4 or a clip, Fig. 3 (not shown) which is engageable with the plate and with a pair of holes on a face of the nut. The head of the bolt is substantially V-shaped in plan and as shown, a spring washer 3 resists relative rotation of the plate relative to the bolt.
