Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1029225/C2/1> where R is a polyvalent acyclic radical containing no reactive unsaturation and in which the carbon chain may be interrupted by oxygen, R1 is a divalent acyclic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic radical, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are hydrogen or alkyl or aryl groups, and n is an integer of at least 2; and their production by condensing an appropriate a ,b -alkylene imine, in the presence of an acid acceptor, with a compound R(OCOR1COCL)n, which may be obtained (i) by chlorinating (e.g. with SOCl2 or PCl3) the condensation product of R(OH)n and R1(COOH)2 or its anhydride or (ii) condensing R(OH)n with R1(COCl)2.
