Abstract
1,027,621. Impedance networks; oscillating circuits; frequency-selective amplifying circuits. WALLACE, DAVIDSON & PARTNER, and J. DAVIDSON. April 5, 1962 [Jan. 5, 1961], No. 546/61. Headings H3F, H3U and H3W. An amplifier comprises a null network embodied in a negative feedback path, one or more of the channels of the null network being associated with variable attenuators whereby the null frequency and hence the frequency of operation of the amplifier may be varied. The amplifier may also have a positive feedback path whereby oscillations can be generated. As shown, the negative feedback path of amplifier A comprises a twin-T network 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 the null frequency of which is varied by means of the differential attenuator 23, 23<SP>1</SP>, 24, 24<SP>1</SP>. Two separate attenuators or a single attenuator in one path. Other forms of null network using e.g. bridge- T or resonant circuits may be used.
