Abstract

1,027,515. Containers. BRISTOL SIDDELEY ENGINES Ltd. March 25, 1965 [March 26, 1964], No. 12894/64. Headings B8C and B8P. An airtight container has a flat pocket 3 (Fig. 3, not shown) formed on the inner surface of a wall or lid of the container and communicating with the interior. The pocket may hold sheet material treated with a vapour phase inhibitor. In the embodiment described the pocket 3 is made from a perforated sheet of synthetic plastics material or a piece of loosely woven plastics cloth secured along opposite edges thereof to the underneath surface of the lid. The lid of the container may be provided with strengthening ribs 1, and in this case the pocket is attached to these ribs.
