A helmet 1 for driving piling and trench sheeting has locating prongs 6 loosely received in a first series of bores 3 formed in the body of the helmet and retained therein by lateral elements (pins, rivets or welded metal blobs 4) projecting into a second series of bores 4 extending transversely of and intersecting the bores of the first series.
