Abstract

Dials and scales; manual adjustment of zero, facilitating.-To indicate the temperature at which a thermostat is set, the screwed pin 28 supporting the operating lever 26 upon the expanding elements 18, which is manually adjustable by means of a milled head, 28*, is provided with a temperature scale extending over more than one turn and reading against a fixed pointer 31. The scale is borne by a wooden cylinder 30, being friction-tight thereon, but adjustable to vary the zero setting; the cylinder is held tightly against the lower surface of the milled head by means of a spring.
