Abstract

1,024,634. Knitting-machines. I.& R. MORLEY Ltd. Aug. 14, 1964 [May 18, 1963], No. 19859/63. Heading D1C. A knitting machine needle comprises a hook 6 having a stem 7 for mounting in a bar and a member 9 sliding relatively to the hook and having a stem 8 for mounting in a second bar, the outer end of the sliding member being divided into two spaced parts located one on each side of the hook 6 and movable relative thereto to take a loop from the hook and hold it clear of the neb for transfer or knocking over. Several modifications are described.
