Abstract

1,023,727. Coiling; curving; strengthening. INDUGAS, GESSELSCHAFT FUR INDUSTRIELLE GASVERWENDUNG m.b.H. Feb. 12, 1965 [Feb. 18, 1964], No. 6093/65. Heading B3E. [Also in Division F4] Metal tubing R is bent to follow a circular path by rollers 1, passed through a furnace 3 arranged along the path, and straightened by rolls 4 as it issues from the furnace. The tubing may follow a helical path, passing two or three times through the furnace, which may be in sections. The rolls 1, 4 are adjustable for different diameters of tube, and may be automatically controlled by a device sensing the curvature. Rolls 5 guide the tube R between furnace sections.
