Abstract

1,023,641. Structural bars. DEXION Ltd. May 15, 1963 [May 15, 1962], No. 18642/62. Heading E1K. [Also in Division F2] Angles 4a and 4b having elongated slots 5a are secured to an angle 4 having similar slots 5 by placing bosses on washers in the slots of one angle, and passing bolts through holes in the washer. The washer may have an elongated boss 2, Fig. 1 (not shown), with a concentric bolt hole 3 therein, or in a modification Fig. 3 (not shown) the hole is at one end of the boss 2a, and the boss extends beyond the edge of the washer. In a further modification Fig. 5 (not. shown) the boss 2b is D-shaped and the hole 3 is separated from the boss. The bosses may be welded to the washer, or the washer may be cold forged, or pressed out. The washer may have more than one boss, or a single boss may have three bolt holes.
