[Also in Division B3] In a method of making a chain or bracelet a solid metal rod is cut into bars, each bar is transversely slotted on each of two opposite faces near to its ends and an aperture is formed through each slotted portion. Adjacent bars are joined by loop links passing through the apertures. In an alternative embodiment, a strip of metal has longitudinal slots formed on both sides near its edges and is then cut transversely to form the bars.
