Abstract
1,018,242. Presses. A. B. MOTALA VERKSTAD. March 20, 1963 [March 28, 1962], No. 11106/63. Heading B5F. In a multi-storeyed press for making, e.g., fibre board, the weight of the platens is at least partly counterbalanced during the actual compression only. As shown, this is effected by pivoted bell-cranks 7 adjacent pairs of which are operated by cylinder-piston devices 10. The bell-cranks may operate on each platen or on every second, third or fourth platen. The bell cranks in the lower half of the press may be directly connected to the lower pressing table 2.
