Abstract

A method of protecting vulcanized diene rubber against flex-cracking and oxidative deterioration comprises incorporating in said rubber a stabilizing concentration of N-phenyl-N1-cyclohexyl -ortho-phenylene diamine. The rubber may be natural or synthetic and preferably contains 0.01-5 weight per cent based on the total weight of rubber of the stabilizer.
