Abstract

1,015,884. Producing electron tubes. HITACHI Ltd. Feb. 19, 1963 [April 7, 1962], No. 6706/63. Heading B3A. [Also in Division H1] In a tetrode having a coaxial, cylindrical electrode system, the control and screen grids 6, 7 are formed by assembling two metallic cylindrical blanks with interposed adhesive 17, providing a plurality of radially aligned slits in the blanks by electric discharge machining, mounting the two grids in the electrode system, and then removing the adhesive, e.g. by heating or chemical treatment.
