Abstract
1,012,851. Treating hair and furs. M. NEWMAN. March 25, 1963 [March 23, 1962, Feb. 4, 1963], No. 11730/63. Heading D1P. [Also in Divisions A3 and A4] For use in treating a few strands of hair at a time a cap, of impermeable material such as a vinyl dispersion, carries projections 18 each formed with a recess 19, the cap being puncturable at the base 20 of the recess by a hooked implement to draw through a lock of hair and the projection forming a seal around the lock. The projections may alternatively be on the inner surface of the cap which may carry markings on its outer surface indicating the location of the projections, the markings being in groups of three, of different colours or shapes to enable the cap to be used for three hair treatments. The cap may be transparent. The brim 17 can be rolled up to collect any liquid running down the cap. The cap can be used in treating wigs and in sheet form the material may be used in treating fur.
