Abstract
1,012,842. Transistor amplifying circuits. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 20, 1963], No. 30624/64. Heading H3T. The upper frequency limit of a wide band transistor amplifier is raised by coupling the transistors together by a transmission line L1 which is between a fifth and an eighth of a wavelength long at the upper frequency limit of the amplifier and is of relatively high impedance, i.e. 100 to 300 ohms. A similar line couples the output transistor T2 to the load Y2; if the latter is appreciably reactive, the overall response may be levelled by designing this latter stage to be of lower cut-off frequency than the first stage T1: alternatively, frequencydependent negative feedback may be used.
