Abstract

1,010,556. Boxes. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Aug. 2, 1963 [Oct. 30, 1962], No. 41054/62. Heading B8P. A six-sided box having one end thereof 5 wedge-shaped has a window in the wedgeshaped portion 7 in order that the contents of the box may be inspected. The side-panels 9 of the box are hinged to the bottom and a retaining panel 13, 14 which is hinged to the top is also provided on each side. Each retaining panel is foldable lengthwise along a creaseline 12 and the bottom part 14 is glued to the side, thus enabling the box in its open condition to be collapsed. In a second embodiment, the box is made from the blank shown in Fig. 4, the wedge-shaped portion being formed by folding triangular portions 23, 24 to overlie each other. The blank also includes a handle forming element 28, and is closed by selfinterlocking flaps 17a, the flaps 15a being connected to them as by adhesive.
