1,009,105. Magnetic recording media. ROLA CO. (AUSTRALIA) PROPRIETARY Ltd. Aug. 3, 1962 [Aug. 15, 1961], No. 29943/62. Heading H1H. A magnetic recording medium comprises single domain ferromagnetic filaments each encased in a metal or alloy casing different from that of the filaments and secured together to form a unitary structure. The encased filaments may be formed as disclosed in Specification 896,881, and may be welded together as disclosed in Specification 1,009,104. The magnetic particles may constitute a layer on a non- ferromagnetic base, which may be a tape base or a wire-like core, being secured thereto by welding, soldering or cementing.
