In an electrical circuit for converting information in a monophylic binary code into a pure binary or weighted code, each input bit is fed to a corresponding exclusive OR circuit which also received a input the output of the next higher order exclusive OR circuit, each exclusive OR circuit comprising an AND circuit and a first NOR circuit both receiving as inputs the inputs to the exclusive OR circuit, the outputs of these AND and NOR circuits going to a second NOR circuit the output of which constitutes the output of the exclusive OR circuit.
