Abstract

Pastes for cleaning false teeth comprise mixtures of cream of tartar or potassium borotartrate with sodium bicarbonate and sodium perborate. The mixtures are preferably incorporated into a water-soluble excipient comprising, by weight, 50 parts glycerol, 50 parts water,15 parts stearin or stearic acid and 3 parts aqueous ammonia. A preferred paste comprises by volume, 2 parts of cream of tartar or potassium borotartrate, 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 1 part of sodium perborate. Other additives are wetting agents, foaming agents, bactericides, perfumes and mild abrasives. Specification 527,041 is referred to.
