1,004,338. Capsules. 0. J. BRUUN. May 16, 1963 [June 12, 1962], No. 22495/62. Heading B8T. A self-supporting bottle capsule is made by folding a blank of thin pliable sheet material into a cup-shape with pleated side folds, the inner surface of the capsule being coated with adhesive, of the kind which adheres well to itself without the use of solvents, water or heat but not to other substances, so that when the side pleats are compressed they automatically stick firmly together. The sheet material is paper, or metal foil lined with paper, the paper providing a good anchorage for the adhesive coating which may be a rubber latex compound. Specifications 629,430 and 634,240 are referred to.
