Regulating.-Emergency stop-gear for highspeed steam motors, such as turbines, adapted to come into operation when the turbine shaft exceeds a predetermined speed and to close the supply valve f, comprises a rotatable segment v which, when released by a speed governor setting free the rod r, is rotated by the plate y on the spring- pressed member z attached to the valve spindle j, the same spring g serving also to close the valve f.
