Abstract

Lubricants comprise a mineral oil, together with an animal and/or vegetable oil, and an ester of chromic acid with a tertiary aliphatic, alicyclic, or aromatic alcohol, the concentration of chromium not exceeding 0.2% of the whole. A specified ester is tertiary methyl-cyclohexanol chromate. Specification 847,813 is referred to.
