Abstract

A growth-promoting feed for developing animals comprises a quinolyl-(8)-oxyacetic acid derivative of the general formula <FORM:1003477/A5-A6/1> wherein R represents hydrogen or a low alkyl radical, X and Y independently of each other repsent alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or acyl radicals, halogen atoms, nitro, amino or acylamino groups and m and n independently of each other represent 0-3, or a non-toxic salt of such a derivative. According to an example, a-[2-methyl-quinolyl-(8)-oxy] acetic acid n-butyl ester in chicken food combats infection by Eimeria tenella. Specification 1,003,478 is referred to.
